Arlekin in development
Poison is a play about what remains between two people after the worst has already happened. Years after the death of their young son, a divorced couple meet again, summoned by news that the ground around his grave has been poisoned. What follows is a spare, exacting language about grief, blame and the slow possibility of forgiveness.
Winner of the Taalunie Toneelschrijfprijs, the leading Dutch-language playwriting award, and adapted for film in 2024, the play remains little known to American audiences.
