Tell me, Mother, an original choral piece devised and directed by Yana Gladkikh, premieres at Arlekin's Needham studio November 18 to December 13, 2026. Performed in Russian with English supertitles. Only 40 seats per performance.

Devised and directed by Yana Gladkikh, star of Arlekin's award-winning production of The Dybbuk and director of Beethoven, Tell me, Mother explores motherhood as a primal, spiritual state of shared memory, joy, trauma and humor, drawing on lived experience, testimonials and the poetry of Gabriela Mistral. Weaving together physical theater, dance and spoken word, the piece invites audiences into the deeply personal stories of mothers and watches them become universal, for the actors and the audience alike.

Performed in Russian by Arlekin's resident company with English supertitles, in an up-close and intimate setting of 40 seats. Choreography by Suli Holum, award-winning director, performer and playwright and co-founder of Pig Iron Theatre Company. Soundscape by Bryce Somerville and Victor McSurely, both alumni of Blue Man Group Boston. Produced by Lisa Hackman.

"What fascinates me is the moment when a specific person's lived experience enters the artistic frame of the stage and becomes something larger than itself. The stage is a frame that transforms the personal into the universal." Yana Gladkikh

Previews November 16 and 17 at 7:30pm; the run opens November 18 and plays Thursdays through Sundays through December 13. This premiere is presented as a special fundraising project, with proceeds supporting Arlekin's mission.
