Pushkin's Don Juan meets Goethe's Faust. Igor Golyak's The Guest opens in Boston in 2011 and, within a year, is invited to the Moscow Art Theatre School, the birthplace of the Stanislavsky system.

The Guest fuses Pushkin's The Stone Guest with Goethe's Faust: a seducer, a devil and a reckoning. Igor Golyak writes, directs and plays Mephistopheles. Irina Bordian plays Laura.

It opens at Boston Playwrights' Theatre in December 2011. In 2012 it travels to JCC Manhattan, wins Best Actor and a Special Adjudicator's Award for Notable Theatrical Risk Taking at the EMACT festival, and is invited by Dr. Anatoly Smeliansky to perform at the Moscow Art Theatre School. For a company barely two years old, that invitation is a statement.
