213 immigrants sat down and told their stories. МЫ - US put those voices on stage.
МЫ - US was documentary theater, devised by Igor Golyak from 213 interviews with immigrants. No fictional frame, no single hero: the text was what people said about leaving, arriving and the years in between. Viktoria Kovalenko, Alexander Livshin, Darya Denisova, Julia Shikh and Alexander Petetsky performed.
It premiered in the Needham studio in February 2018 and played 15 performances for about 600 people. It returned in May and September 2018.
For a company of immigrants, it was the closest thing to a self-portrait.
