Ten classmates, five Jewish and five Catholic Poles, who grow up as friends and neighbors, then find themselves pitted against each other in the face of entrenched antisemitism, with life and death consequences. Inspired by real life events surrounding a 1941 pogrom in a small Polish village, this shocking, timely story follows their lives from childhood through eight decades in a new contemporary production of Tadeusz Słobodzianek's masterpiece, from Ukrainian-born Jewish director Igor Golyak.

Our Class premieres in New York in January 2024 at BAM Fisher as part of the Under the Radar Festival, presented with MART Foundation, and sells out. It returns Off-Broadway to Classic Stage Company in fall 2024, where The Wall Street Journal names it among the best theater of the year and it wins four 2025 Lucille Lortel Awards, including Outstanding Revival and Outstanding Director. In June 2025 it comes home to Boston's Calderwood Pavilion for Arlekin's 15th anniversary, adding three performances to meet demand; the Boston run earns two 2026 Elliot Norton Awards, Outstanding Visiting Play and Outstanding Performance in a Visiting Play for Chulpan Khamatova. In spring 2026 Z Space co-presents the West Coast premiere in San Francisco, where the San Francisco Chronicle gives it four stars.
